We are currently in the process of making the community gardens a reality. The first funded project is the creation of gardens and growing space at the
Ambulance Hall. Initially we're planting apple trees (fostered and nurtured by members of the community) and our AG Environmental volunteers team cleared ground to create a pumpkin patch, where local youngsters and families could celebrate Halloween this year.
We're also working on adding whatever parcels of land we can get our hands on (for nothing of course), in order to develop further community growing space. This includes
plans
for the derelict (burnt out) shell of
St Johns Meanwhile Chapel.
Capacity building to partner additional priorities follows closely behind.
